The Devil In Miss Jones

One of the most legendary classic porn movies of all time, The Devil In Miss Jones, was such a great film that on the year of its release, it even topped other Adult heavyweight films like Deepthroat, and The Green Door. Boxoffice records show that the film was the 7th highest gross revenue earner for the year 1973 with $7.7 million, and that is not just for adult films, but industry wide. Combining actual followable plot, with intense hardcore porn scenes was certainly a method that worked well, and fans worldwide were giving approval.

In this great scene below, Justine Jones, (Georgina Spelvin) has just been sentenced to a life in limbo after killing herself and is allowed to return to earth as the embodyment of lust, to attempt to earn her re-entry into Hell. She spends some time with a monster of a figure only known as The Teacher (Harry Reems), and it ends with a graphic threesome between Georgina, the good, and the evil.  This intense scene with Georgina Spelvin, Harry Reems and John Clemens completely set the tone for the movie (and its sequels) and set the mood for all future ‘dramatic’ porn movie productions.

This film was at the very start of the Golden Age of Porn and basically before our ‘VCR ERA” that I like to talk about, but it is definitely worthy of being included as so many films after this had striven for such success.
